Kins little video had me thinking, I have travelled far and wide and did a huge amount of bike riding in my time and there were just a few places I did not like and I rode and have driven in some interesting places;
1. The bridge over the Mosel near where it reaches the Rhine, it is very high and very convex, the armco is just right to pitch a bike over and I went across in a blizzard.
2 The village of Pyla in Cyprus where turks and greeks aim guns at each other
3 The road into Church Stretton on the valley side, I used to go down there very gingerly, me the 160 m/hr hero worried by a few hundred foot drop, yeah right!
Any others to watch out for?

This is going back may be over 30 years ago, when I was a kid. My parents took me to China,(if my memory serves correctly)train to Canton China, then 8 hrs coach journey to one of the destinations, I still remember vividly the coach had to drive on the mountain road alongside the great Yangtse River enroute, but probably what seemed like a 1000ft drop from the edge of the road with absolutely no fencing whatsoever And when there was an oncoming traffic, the coach had to drive really close to the edge that I could not even see the edge of the road ..and not exaggerating, the driver wasn't hanging around either, obviously i live to tell the tales....I guess safety wasn't on his mind

Egypt in the 80's suicidal traffic. Dubai City. Suicidal traffic.
The french seem to have the ablity to create lanes narrower than an average car when doing roadworks - never that happy about it when they do that.

Montenegro. They just set-up road works, dig a big hole and leave the traffic to fend for itself. No diversions, no contra-flow, no traffic control. Total nightmare!!

Korea in the early nineties when they let 4 million provisional drivers have a license without taking a test. Nairobi to Mombasa East Africa highway in the nineties consisting of some tarmac plenty of dirt, elephants , overloaded trucks & the native dig potholes to crash cars or throw rocks at you at night.

Cairo - took a taxi ride from the Hilton to the airport at night - the driver switched off the lights 'to save the battery'. Oh, and at red lights would drive straight through, but switched on the hazard lights 'just in case'

Oh, and at red lights would drive straight through, but switched on the hazard lights 'just in case' There is no such thing as hazard lights in this part of West Africa, rather each car is fitted with a 'double-turner' which is turned on to show you are going straight ahead; usually regardless of the consequences. It must be an African thing Bill!
