Fascinating pistol Spirit. I use to shoot for many years, target pistols, both full and small bore and clays. Sadly due to some horrific shooting incidents in the UK, it became increasingly difficult to own firearms and I gave it all up. Restrictions here on firearms never had any impact on criminal use and that has increased over the years but at least there have been no further incidents like Hungerford.

Happy Birthday Graham!

Interesting protection Spirit. Hope they get the other miscreant quickly.

Richard - plenty of unlicensed fire power in both those cities!

And as for owls and scam phone calls - 07:10 this morning - "I am calling about your computer..."
If you have CLI watch for this number: 05198 847169. On my phone number list it will be named PC Scam from now on. Apparently Sue had 5 calls from the same number on Monday - something she definitely does NOT need right now... swear mad2

It is strictly a close range weapon, intended to be used as a concealed carry personal protection gun when using the .45 caliber load.
It is not meant to be used for sport shooting, but it is also a good weapon to deal with snakes and varmints when loaded with .410 gauge shells.
I like carrying it when out working being that it is small and does not get in the way of work activities, yet is still readily available at will.

Yes you are correct, laws and regulations restricting guns do not reduce crime.
Statistics show that the crime rates drop when the legalized ability of the citizenry to carry canceled guns is implemented.
Criminals do not know who has a gun and who does not, so they reduce their brazenness.

Problem is not guns; the problem is a permissive liberal society that gives criminals more rights than victims.
As the saying goes: “When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns”.

When the UK implemented the handgun ban armed crime rose dramatically.

Update:
Sheriff says they caught the 2nd fugitive.
Hard to hide from good tracking dogs.

Funny thing is that while “in the moment” I knew something wasn’t right with this guy and his story, but there was no fear at all, just cautionary observation.
All I wanted to do was to get this a--hole out of here and go back to my fence work.

After the fact, all kinds of “what ifs” start running through my brain.
In retrospect, we were fortunate nothing “bad” happened.
We have never locked any doors on our place unless we were leaving the ranch; now we do.
I’m starting to feel like some kind of city slicker.
