Was down by your place today Brian. They were "resurfacing" outside the silverbird. Not a roadsign, cone or policeman in sight. We got a shovel full of tarmac thrown right down the side of the car crazy2 At least the potholes are filled until the next rain (tomorrow?)

I've said it before and at the risk of offending the residents of the fine country of Belgium, many seem to have little, or no, perception of speed.

Many seem to like the perceived thrill of being rear ended (there is a cheap joke there, so please control your inner-Jim-Davidsons grin2 ) by another vehicle at speed; therefore, I often find them pulling out, into the fast lane, without a glance in either the rear view or over their shoulders. This either necessitates rapid braking (at best) or ABS and avoidance (at worst).

I've never experienced anything like it in any other country I've driven in.

And if you think the M25 is a giant parking lot filled with white-van-men and bad drivers, it has nothing on the Antwerpen Ring Road viking

So I'm seconding Spudgun!

You should have given me a ring Andy, though I was out this afternoon at a wine tasting. wine

Somebody has got them to do the drive into our apartments too, though whether it lasts remains to be seen. smile

The coast road in Southern Yugoslavia in early 80's.

We were frequently passed by cars overtaking up a hill and round a blind corner !!

If Allah wills you to die....

Cheers,

Similar situation on the road from Tapah to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. Cannot forget being overtaken by trucks going downhill into blind bends. drive
