Mine had a new map installed at its first service by the factory, this was mid 2013.

It did cure the high rpm detonation but a side effect was less performance all through the rev range.

Hey we definitely don't need more power. I've been out all day in the beast. Came home to find my neighbour telling me that the local constabulary have been around. Apparently someone reported a Morgan being driven erratically in the locality. Must have given my reg number also. Came to my place and found the garage doors open also. My neighbour informed them that I was a fifty something old fella so it couldn't have been me. They all concluded that someone had stolen the 3 W.
All a bit embarasing. Have driven fast but safe all day. However did tell a rather unpleasant fellow off for spitting out the window as I was overtaking him. i guess this must be the source of the trouble.
So no more power please. I obviously can't handle what I've got.

Which isn't really a fix. Don't think of stage one as being more power, it's just getting the engine to run safely and efficiently. That it happens to give more power in the process is just a rather nice by-product really.....

Does anyone know the 0-60?
Clearly the original figures are optimistic (4.5 secs)
Its difficult to get the optimum gearing. I wondered if anyone had timed it other than autocar who I think quoted too slow. (8.0 secs)
I think its somewhere between 5 and 6, I would be willing to pay to get it down to that of an m3 at around 4.4

It'll easily do 6.5 to 7 but if you have the old compensator and try it; you probably wont have it for long. The new comp won't thank you for it either.
There is an easier way to get better 0-60s. Get a motorbike. Cars will never really cut the mustard in this department and won't scare the living crap out of you like a bike. I've done both for years. We're so busy slagging off our 3W's( for some very good reasons, power not being one of them) we forget how absolutely brilliant they are. Fifty to Seventy on any B road burbling on over run, jumpers for goal posts etc etc etc, there is nothing on the road to match it. If you really need more power, handling and speed, your driving the wrong vehicle.
