Does anyone know what type seat belts the morgan 3 has . I want to order extenders, and it seems there are 2 types A and B. i have 6 months till mine arrives but want some things ready. and extenders is one . it was a pain trying to buckle when I did my test drive. Or I could just go to the dealer this week and look at the belt I'm sure it says it somewhere on the buckle. and gives me a reason to go look at there demo, and sit in it.

I got standard 20cm extenders from the Internet.
Cost some €18,-- a pair.
Did not even know there are different types available and they work perfectly

Something like that: http://i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/12927...nt-b-belt-b.jpg

It's a 21mm tongue which is type A (Type B is 25mm tongue)

I went for a 25cm long rigid extender which works well and is much easier than the standard fitting smile

Talk to your regular car dealer. They offer these free for people with, ahem, rather large girths and are only too glad to give them away!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Speak with this guy...he is superb and very helpful.

He asked me top take a photo of my metal connector on the car, put a ruler alongside it and he would sort it. 24hrs later he sent me a pair of longer buckle stalks, the advantage of fitting these rather than an extender is (a) It moves the buckle up above the tunnel and my left hip no longer gets an annoying rub from the buckle, (b) Its easier to fasten and release and (c) It means just one part and everything looks normal rather than a two buckle system, the stalks come in different lengths and 2 min with a ruler will tell you which one you want.

PS and there is no need to take the seats out, if you use a wood wedge to hold the cushion over you can 'Just' get down there on the drivers side to flick off the plastic cover and undo the bolt, passengers side has more room.

Best thing comfort wise I ever fitted to the car, being wide of posterior meant the OE position was always uncomfortable with the buckle trapped between me and the prop shaft tunnel, the leather used to get marked! Now with the buckles above the tunnel problem solved, think he charged me about £15 a pair with postage, total bargain!

Have they changed the belts, my June 2013 car has the buckles outboard? They are awkward to buckle up.

Tim.
