Salvage yards are renowned for quick or cheap repair profit, in my experience i have never seen a decent repair come out of such a Yard, lets face it Salvage Yards are a new generation SCRAP YARD. However, obtain a full qualified Engineers report on the car including a Chassis Alignment check, pay £25K for it and i think you will be come the owner of an appreciating classic at a very reasonable investment. If you do not agree with that, Think " Restored", who says a restored car is correctly put back together any better than this could of been. All metal is repairable if your a confident Engineer the raft of that post

Light damage at 12 months old on a 51 (2001) plate car?
So if I understand that correctly it has been off road for 13 years being repaired. What was he doing growing an Ash tree for the repair, waiting for gravity to bend the alloy back into shape ?
Totally trustworthy, nothing to fear at all !
I would have the factory inspect that one before I passed over the beer tokens.

It looks nice in the pictures, but it looks too cheap to be a really good job so "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is..."

I agree it looks good in the pictures but at that price, it has to be too good to be true unless if they just want to move it on quickly. As Dean said, its worth a look and if you are still interested get a report done,

It's certainly a lot of car for the money
It should be worthy of some serious investigation otherwise it could be a real missed opportunity
At least worth a telephone call to investigate what someone knows about its history.

I would want to know the history and see photos pre-repair. It may be simply that it belonged to someone who had a fright and did not want to drive it anymore. If it was an insurance write off that is another story.
If I was in the market for a first series Aero I would certainly be checking it out. I can't see you loosing on it if the repair is good.
