Very impressive work, congratulations! With only a slight reshape of the front end I guess it would look like a 1950's italian F1 car wink

Thanks everyone for all the kind words for a non Morgan single seater.

This is the world I am glad to be in!

I will start with the last and move up.

As we all are in envy for the beautiful wife you have that enjoys your passion.

This was one of the highest complements I received as you hit the bulleye on that one! This was my goal to get as close as I could to that look.

The radiator dictated how close I could come to that shape without having the front end longer than needed as this is a road car.

But that was what I wanted to achieve. Coming from someone close to Italy is a very high complement for me. Thanks

You cannot imagine how fun it is! It is like driving a 50's F1 car and I enjoy every minute of it! That is why I wanted to take it over the top with the latest modifications I am doing. Not every car has a custom clear coated carbon seat specifically fitted to the driver.

Dan

Thanks. We have to help each other as none of us has all the answers except for one person I know smile

Paul

I figured that changing the design to meet race standards as far as construction was concerned is not is a bad thing. Everything is dependent on the weakest link that you may not be able to change.
If you make sure nothing else in the chain is weaker then that item you should be good to go.

I am pretty happy about my Eco Exo R. I am even happier now that I got this finished today. It took two hours to stich up but turned out pretty good for a first time beginner. It is outdoor black Alcantara with red stitching. I also made a left foot rest that will be painted gloss black. I also got a Sonalert buzzer for my turn signals and found a subwoofer that might work for the stereo system installed. I ordered new seals and bearings for the CVT that should be in next week so I can finish the Dr Pulley HIT clutch install. This way everything in the CVT is new and should last a long time without problems. That should be about it for my build.

Hey everyone

I decided to add a subwoofer to my trike and had to find a small one that would not draw too much current. I came up with this and think this is where I would mount it. What do you think of this idea. Crank up those speakers as this is pretty close to what it sounds pulling about 8 amps for the complete system at the level I have now.

Hi Edward,
What a fantastic litle car. I must say the quality of your workmanship and finish is superb.

Looking at your various videos of flickr, you obviously know a bit about steering geometry. Perhaps you should come over and give Morgans a few lessons.

Great work "WELL DONE".

I can only echo those sentiments, you've made a fantastic job of your creation. That sound, even through my little PC speakers sounded great.

I occasionally wonder what our women make of us, playing with our toys in the man cave? Probably happy that we are there and not out on the pull or at the bookies or the pub I suspect.

Well, you can always ask if she'd rather have you in the Pub or in the garage?

Thanks for the kudos guy's.

I do not think they like us in either place but the garage is the better of the two evils in their mind;)

I thinks she thought it was all done and then I decided to go up another level that bothered her. This weekend I will clean up the mess when doing these jobs so hopefully all will be resolved.

The last pieces are being painted and the subwoofer is mounted as of tonight. I also put a little switch next to the flasher switch to remotely turn the subwoofer on or off.

I feel like a lot of you waiting for your Morgan or having it come back from the shop and hope everything has been taken care of.

All I am waiting for is the modified Variator slide plate that is being welded within a week. Once that is done I can button everything up and it will be totally done! I hope:)

As far as the steering geometry I studied everything out there before modifying my suspension and making the new A-arms. This was the first time I have ever worked on something like this but it is all math so I knew I would be pretty close even with the bump steer I still had. Luckily it was so small that I never felt it so I lucked out on that one.

I did get to see a Polaris Slingshot up close for over an hour by myself. It was just too big for me and I just did not have any interest after that day.

The latest reviews also showed that most of the staff liked the Morgan better because of the handling and I feel the same way about mine. Going down a small road in the country there just is nothing like it compared to any other vehicle I owned in my life so I know the passion all of you have for your vehicle.

Well, I finally got the installation done. All the parts I had left are painted and ready for me to pick up. I am really happy how it turned out. I have a switch to turn off the subwoofer when not needed but after listening to it will be on 99% of the time! I waterproofed most of my connections so in this video you get a good look at all the wiring and how the subwoofer is wired with heat shielding in the tunnel that the loom and coolant lines go through.
