Hi all. Have very annoyingly picked up the tiniest micro ding and have my dent remover friend coming over to sort out. The offending mark is at the lower side of rear wing, I guess half way between rear light and rear inner wheel arch.. The ding is low down and to be honest hardly noticeable but being beyond OCD with my Mog its got to be done!! Hoping access can be achievable between rear wheel arch and inner wing, by rubber seal, but if not so - is it going to be easier to take apart boot carpet and cards and try and get to area going down this way or remove rear wheel and undo bolts and try and dislodge rear inner wheel arch????? Any thoughts or advice appreciated..

Incidentally can't describe dent as a 'parking ding' as it has bizarrely happened whilst parked up under car cover in my garage.. Currently blaming my daughter (getting hover out) but she's having none of it!!

Daughters never damage anything in their opinion, but we still blame MissW even though she doesn't live here now.

Aero bat.I dropped a motorbike battery onto the rear wheel arch from about six feet about a month ago dented and creased,calling it patina for the time being till i get it fixed,a real pisser.

My wife's Fiesta works car had a small dent done in dealers during a service. They called in the local Dentmaster chap.
Awesome result, the dent completely removed leaving a small paint mark. They don't do smart paint repair.
I was able to touch up the paint myself.
Worth trying them as they often don't charge if they can't remove the dent(so I am led to believe)

My dent mate is the best I've ever seen so no worries with his work or results...There are zero marks on the paintwork as guess the car cover offered some protection.. All a complete mystery.. You start questioning was it always there?? No chance - My wife thinks I'm nuts as she cant even see what I'm on about!!

Just not sure best way for him to get his weird prongy things behind ding????

You must be talking about Jnr she would leave her room like a pig sty . Yet now when I visit her its like been given the 10 commandments before I step over the door step. Wait till the lad has had a look its his job and you may get a surprise some of these lads are great.

Years ago, I had a brand new BMW X5, and we suffered a storm with hailstones, resulting in over 200 dents in my new pride. I wished a comet had struck the car, so it could be replaced by a new one. But my BMW dealer had a super dent master contracted for many more hail victims. The man spent a whole day at my X5, and the result was stunning, nothing to be seen! The resulting bill +5K was for the insurance company.
Very reassuring to know this man exist in the case of parking dents!

And for the Mog: the only time I made a dent on it, was in the garage, while emptying a bowl of lettuce, and the bowl went down on the left front wing. No minor repair possible, just old fashion work with a partly respray. And I caused it myself, always neurotic in avoiding dents, parking the cars on corners, miles away from the shops, always commenting on my behavior...!

Feel for you big time...when something like this first happens it really feels life altering, in a BAD way!! I remember a very long time ago I owned a stunning 1000 mile Ferrari 328 totally unmarked, original and as new. At the time lived in a very modest home with commensurate crappy tiny garage with bearly room to squeeze in and out. Did the usual thing by placing carpet on side wall so car door would never make contact with the nasty brickwork. Was halfway getting out of the car being as always so careful not to foul the cill with my shoe, marking the fragile leather on the bolster and ensuring door remained an inch from carpeted wall. Just then our then lovely neighbours little daughter appeared and shouted 'hi'. I jumped from being startled, knocked the carpet clear of the wall and subsequently fell against the door as it banged into the wall resulting in a chunk of paint being removed from the leading edge and me nearly having a heart attack. To this day how I refrained from going mental and swearing blue murder remains beyond me!!

Ain't it funny you can have an old banger that you don't give a hoot about. Parking and leaving wherever and hardly giving it a seconds thought and low and behold you can bet your bottom dollar it will remain in perfect condition avoiding scrapes, bangs and somehow even stonechips???? BUT no matter how hard you try or how much you care for the true automobile love of your life - it will invariably suffer all
manor of bad luck...

Sometimes life sucks.......
