hi I wonder if anyone has experienced the same problem as myself.
had my car 5 months now its been back to the factory once approx 3 weeks various issues and the dealers a few times
the car was new in july and has now done 2500 miles what a great car.
however the car wont start the dealer is picking it up on monday. it started with the radio playing up, then the passenger window going up and down itself and then push the start button nothing happens. disconnected the battery reconnected then it started no problem got home started again.
put the car in the garage next morning same problem push start button dead. went through same routine with the battery.nothing.
Losing confidence in this car and it is taking the pleasure of owning and driving such an amazing looking car.

did you use it under the rain recently?

(some electric connectors couldn't be sufficiently insulated, and could create problems with the global electronic network)

Hi scottie, sorry to hear that. Have you tested the battery to see if its gone dodgy/duff confused2 A poor battery could cause tha car's electronics to do all sorts of funny things..take the battery out to tyre/battery places to have it tested...

Take the car back to the dealer and do not accept it until it runs and they can prove the battery stores charge/has no drain... the last thing you want it a perpetual electrical fault as it will quickly demoralise you.

The latest Mk4 should be pretty much twist and go.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems Scottie, as Cereal suggests I would give the Dealer a specific written period to solve the problem. If that does not do the trick, then I would certainly get in touch with the works personally and get them to sort the problem once and for all.

If you need details of who to contact, etc, at MMC please PM me and I'll put you in touch with them. smile I am sure that you can get it sorted and then enjoy the car, as you should have been able to do from Day 1.

Indeed, this should not get in the way of your ownership enjoyment, let the dealer take care of this gremlin. These things happen to all car brands. frown2

Love your car by the way, especially the Aeromax alloys.
Hope it's in full health very soon! sick3

In full agreement with the above - including the offer to assist if needed.
