Please help me...
Is this irony paul???
I find the car very stable at higher speeds.

I've just come back from driving my friends's M3W in South Africa and drove quite some distance trying to catch him up in his Jaguar F Type at speeds of 100mph and was quite surprised how stable it felt! Enormous grin followed that experience. laugh2

I had to make a trip out in the high wind yesterday. I was surprised at higher speeds how much the m3w is pulled about for a low aerodynamic (!) Car. Reminded me of pre comfort kit days eek.

As I have posted before I would buy another M3W ..BUT only a 2014 car ..with all the upgrades/fixes/mods.

There are a number of cars on sale claiming to be 2014 ...but they are in fact 2013 unregistered car WITHOUT all the above...buyer beware!! ooo

Indeed. One might expect that, with all that downforce and mechanical grip, it would "stick to the road like glue".

Good advice not to buy an early unregistered car without all the upgrades, but Why not a any pre 2014 car with all the upgrades?

Agree - go for a 2014 built car and the worries are much reduced. Should cost that much more than a earlier car either.

Let's not shoot ourselves in the feet here gents - all this talk of "nothing but a 2014+ will do" is in truth somewhat wide of the mark, as we all know. Sure, good advice needs given about the need for Comfort Kit (retrofitable of course) and at least the 2013 chassis with the bolt-in cross-member, but should we really condemn all pre 2014 as being utter dogs, to be avoided at all costs?

My 2013 has bolt-in cross-member, Comfort (or in my case Empire) and my DIY cooling mod but it is all working well, hasn't broken in two and still drives through the non-Centa compensator. I'd be grumpy if my car become un-saleable just because people are told it has the old chassis and a perfectly working but non-Centa whotsit....

The original question was about what to look for in the PX opportunity and realistically Krazy _might_ agree to fit Comfort or even Cooling as part of the deal, but insisting on a Centa and 2014 chassis if they are not on the car already is totally unrealistic, as we all know. With a minimum of Comfort, I suspect that the Krazy car will be a 2013 like mine with every chance of providing a barrel-load of laughs for its new owner, just as mine continues to do. I say it's likely to be a '2013-spec' model, simply that they seem to be most prolific in our world right now.

Having said all that, is the car is an early 2012 with the very early chassis, then the buyer may want to look carefully and reassure themselves that all will be OK.

Just my view though.... smile

+1

Forums can portray the mainly negative side of ownership. Its good to see the positive side sometimes. For those that have persevered, the 2013 models are giving many smiles per mile.
