Are you playing with small German? diesel locomotives Jeremy?  Nice thread drift Graham, and a bit too cryptic for me!! I play with BIG german engines (MTU) in good old BREL locos and am part owner of an EE shunter and supervise drivers of a Swindon-built DMU, but small German diesel locos...erm..?

Signed by me &  Fully agree and sympathise with Chehire David's points (hope I haven't been too noisy leaving CarFest for last 2 years - certainly my lap of Oulton at 30mph broke no laws  ) and I also agree with Graham about the poor standard of English used in the actual petition (he wants legislature rather than legislation to control the moved-in mimbys?). I suspect you make rather more noise pulling away promptly out of Paddington... Not that I'd call something with two of those MTU 4000s quiet, or a "small German shunter"! Actually as MTU is now owned by Rolls Royce they are British!!  Cheers (36803 & 36804)

An EE shunter? Have fun. I have done some work on the electrics on an 03. Then the owner sold it before things were finished... ! Far too advanced for me Graham! The numbers were our sign-up-to-petition numbers! And Peter - MTU owned by RR - Great ! - but RR owned by BMW ?? Or is that bit of RR still the good old BRITISH firm?
