My dear Wife just booked us a European holiday for 2015 ,very nice of her , then she booked my air ticket so i could leave early and have a week of car stuff etc just for me , but she has me arriving London on September the 3rd and leaving to meet her in Germany on the 12th , just in time to miss Goodwood  Does anyone have a suggestion of an event i could or should attend the weekend of 5th/6th , Morgans , cars , bikes , planes , steam , vintage all considered and any distance ok . Thanks Dave

I'll chip in before Graham is up! Prescott Hill Climb near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire has a meeting that weekend.
A wide variety of cars, great atmosphere and even the opportunity to meet a few TMers if you're lucky.

There's the Brighton Speed Trials on the Saturday.
Britain’s oldest motor racing event, first staged in 1905, showcasing a wide range of cars and motorbikes racing over a quarter of a mile along Brighton’s historic beachfront.

One more thought - the International Autojumble is taking place at Beaulieu, our National Motor Museum in Hampshire. Not too far from Brighton so the two could be combined for a great weekend.

Steve I am not sure that the Brighton Speed Trials were Britain's first motor sport event. I think that research will show that there was a competitive speed event at Bexhill in 1902. http://www.discoverbexhill.com/bexhillmotorracing.phpLike Brighton , the event took place along the sea front.

I know you to be correct, I visited Bexhill a couple of years ago and recall reading the info. I was lazy and simply cut and pasted from Brighton tourist office. Dave , wait till I get my Morgans events book for 2015 ( nothing to do with mogs ) . It should arrive in a week or two SO BETTER GIVE ME ANOTHER SHOUT as it has all kinds of stuff in your area in a large radius . Or you could purchase one ONLY A FIVER posted to your door and the dosh goes to charity.
