The progress is slow but here are some pictures of the current phase. The body was very sound. Looks like it had been tapped once in the rear. Just one strip of ash to replace. All the rest was fine. Pretty good for a 60+ year old vehicle. We will have to put a blister on the bonnet to accommodate the air horns on the carbs.

Whoops! Meant to post this shot instead of duplicating shot in prior post.

Very smart - are you building this to be a show car? Looks like it could be.

There seems to be another cheeky Mog chappie sneaking into one of the pics?

Well the chassis at least.........

It's going to be a combo of show and go. Cycle wings in front. Cut down wings in the rear . I also have the original wings in case I want to go back to original look. The lump is a TR4A with 89mm kit. Balanced, ported and polished. Lightened flywheel, 10/1 cr, road/rally cam and nitrited crank. As you can see it has Derrington style headers with exhaust exiting before rear wing. The interior will bee bisquit with SS style buckets. The rear diff is a 7HA and the trannie a Close ratio Moss box from an XK140. Gemmer steering box and front is decambered. Fold down wind screen will also be removable to expose the twin Brooklands style screens. I want to keep it FIA eligible if I can.
Wheels are reinforced 16 inch steel with Excelsior radials. The color will be blue very similar to what I think is your Mog.
There are about 10 other Mogs in various stages of reconstruction in the shop where it resides. The red car in the background is an Alvis.
We are just starting our 3rd year of the process.
I sold a Vincent Black Shadow to finance this car so I want it to be something special.
Jay Leno told me you "never sell a Vincent". He has 13 Vinnies and a hell of a lot more money then I do or ever will have!
Dick
