Hi Oliver,
thank for your offer to take some photos!
The order number is 43692, and the chassis number is SA94420K290004913. There should also be a sticker on the car with my name (Lenzing) and the dealerŽs name (Richard Thorne).
Have a nice trip,
Andreas

Okay folks,

the first photos are posted. What can I say?

It (or is it "she?) looks gorgeous. The ride is as expected and most of the components work. The exhaust is much louder than I expected, there is no need for a sports exhaust. The car is quick and apparently has a very good fuel economy.

We had a nice day on West Wittering beach, made a trip to the factory which was very interesting. Stayed at the Malvern Hills Hotel which I absolutely recommend. Very nice location, and a good hotel in every respect. Very kind owner.

At the factory, they sorted out a coolant leak. Then we noticed that the brakes started to pull to the right, strangely only when they were cold. Once warm, the pulled dead straight. On our way back to Germany the brakes failed (lost fluid) and we met the staff of Brands Hatch Morgan. Keith kindly fixed the leak so we could continue the trip.
Now the brakes are still pulling to the right when cold, so that had nothing to do with the leak. IŽll sort that out sooner or later.

What else? Oh yes, I ordered the car with the mohair weather equipment and was billed and paid accordingly, but neither the factory nor the dealer noticed that they managed to build it with the standard PVC hood. During our factory visit, they thankfully made a PVC tonneau so that we have this item at least.

Would I do it again? Yes, absolutely. The look and feel is rewarding, and isnŽt a perfect car boring after all?

CanŽt wait to meet other Morganeers and share some stories.

Andy

Hi Morganeers.
I have been playing with Morgans since the '60's. All 4/4's because I feel they are the most responsive for competition purposes. I used to do club events in the '60's at Silverstone, Shelsley, Prescott, etc with a light alloy 1,500 engine equipped with twin Webers. Gave it up when I got married and moved to the States in early '80's. I bought a project car and built it up for VSCCA events. I have been doing their events for 20 years now and many have seen the car on the East Coast as it is the dark blue one with a Shorrocks blower on it that blows away all the +4's. I can hear all the howls now so I will shut up>
Mike

ps. How do you post a photo on this forum?
