My favoured cleaner/conditioner is Turtle Wax. I use it frequently because of the smell it leaves behind rather than for any obvious benefit. If water can't penetrate the surface I'm not convinced that conditioner will either, but the smell is worth the effort. I've also tried the Connolly kit, but it leaves a strong linseed oil aroma which I don't really like.
For me it's all about the smell.

Yes I am skeptical of the benefits gained from feeding it, hence why I rarely do, but the car's book says to 'feed' it so I do anyway.

A word of caution about lanolin though. It is susceptible to biological attack and can cause rotting of seams......car seats are highly seamed and so what's good on saddles isn't necessarily good on car seats which are not aired in the same way as saddles etc. but sit with their hidden recesses mouldering away....where the sun don't shine!
Olive oil is good, and cheap........

Pinnacle Brilliance products makes a great leather cleaner and conditioner. I use it after each drive and no problems thus far.

Q. Why is Turtle wax so expensive?

A. Because turtles have really small ears.

Another +1 for Gliptone.

In particular their GT13 Conditioner & Waterproofer

On my seats one of them looks lovely underneath with its motley collection of staples, but the other one has staples that are quite rusty. Neither seat has had a different life form the other so can only assume that someone changed the stapler between the seats and there were naff staples in one of them that rust. Has anyone else had rusty staples on their seat base underside??

Top bits etc. look lovely still. Used a 'plastic' spray to clean which seemed to do as good a job as a leather spray.

If you get 'cracks' as the leather ages it is probably wise to keep these coloured and "moist"...

Mine are rusty too but only under 1 side.

I think in future after driving in the wet I will remove both seat cushions and let the floor pan dry out.

I have also drilled 2, 1" holes in the rear most section of floor pan to let the water run out that gets splashed up by the rear wheel.
