Before the long door cars were introduced the favoured place for speakers was just behind the door lock. Now there is very little space there but I suspect there may be enough space for two small 4 inch speakers to supplement those in the footwell.

Has anyone tried this in a long door car? It would mean running some extra speaker wires to the head unit plug but it should not be impossible.
