After doing a search of topics I couldn't find any reference to lubricating of the bonnet hinge. My 2011 plus 4 bonnet is squeaking badly when I open it.
What is the best method to rectify this.
Should the woven fabric spacer between bonnet and chassi be treated in any way?
Do owners rotate their tyres on plus 4s or not?
A really great site to spend a few hours on.
Great weather for touring in New Zealand at the moment
Thanks guys and happy motoring as spring arrives in the northern hemisphere.

The woven fabric strips should be treated with beeswax, that's what I was told.

+1 vaseline. You can buy bonnet corners also & anti squeal tape. In Miscellany & on the MSCC website someone is selling it by the meter and it works

As for the hinge squeak, I'd run some thin oil sparingly down the length of the hinge. On the two cars I've had I can't say that it's ever been a problem.

As far as the tape is concerned, the factory told me to use Vaseline once a month. Whilst we are on the topic of lubrication, you should also use thin oil or ideally ACF50 along the beading between body tub and wings.

I rotate my tyres by the way to even out wear. Just means a bigger bill when all four need replacing!

Although the "traditional" lubrication for the tapes is beeswax...
