For all who had problems with the Tenax at the door

Since we have our +4 last year I am struggling with the Tenax retainer next to the door. First thing is that my wife is not able to open it without visiting the next nail store.( and as we all know " Happy wife means happy life") Next problem is the risk for a serious damage of the side wall, as mentioned in previous postings here in the forum. I worked the last couple of weeks on a solution and I think I have it now. I tried several other retainers from boat shops but I was not convinced. Then I went the way with magnetic force.
Here you see all what you need for each site.
To the left you have the magnet and to the right the washer special made so that it fits to the hood.
The idea was to find a solution without drilling add. wholes and it should be possible to switch back to the Morgan Tenax.
First I made a small tool to open the Morgan Tenax.
Next step is installing the magnet on the body and the washer on the non visibble site of the hood.
and also a magnet on the hood bar to fix the hood when it is open.
and here are the final situation.
Finally I asked my wife to open and close the hood and it was the first time that she managed it without any problem.
It's approved now.
Feel free to copy it and when you need the part list drop me a PM. It will not brake the bank, each side is less as 5 GBP.
