Thanks Howard, I was thinking about it today and suddenly wondered if there was a setting on the JVC to send power to auxiliaries if connected. I will check this out, might explain the issue.

Well what a wind up, I checked the wiring again and took the meter to the lead from the Morgan to the power ISO block and found the constant feed with the ignition in position 1, not the one I expected, then I found the switched feed. So I connected these correctly, The I checked the aerial connections and that when the unit was on the I was getting a power feed to the aerial, the JVC unit still reported no DAB signal. Then suddenly while fiddling about I got Radio 2 on DAB . The unit if powered of goes to no DAB station selected and you have to positively select one.
Unfortunately the Bluetooth connection initially work and then decided not to pair, a job for tomorrow as getting cold in the garage.
