I'm also an upper door hinge flag positioner. Double sided tape every time for me. Drill a hole and it allows corrosion to get a foothold no matter how careful you are. Check around the external screw above the bonnet fasteners, and you may see the beginnings of oxidation.

Because although it goes against the blinkered views of some in the UK, Europe is a good place to live - free, prosperous and relatively democratic - unlike many other areas of the world, and I am proud to be European.
Having a badge on the car has nothing to do with where the car is made, just an expression of a wider form of patriotism.
