I've never really thought of GR as a place to take a favourite car, mostly on account of the mess that covers it at the end of the day (dust if it's dry and mud up to its axles if it's wet) and the typical 2-hour queue to get out of the place if it gridlocks (typically every other year I reckon). Not the place for a 3W in my book. Took me weeks to clean my Renaultsport Spider the one time I took it.....

I have to agree, I took a Caterham some years ago, and whilst it was a fabulous experience, the car was covered in fine dust, everywhere, even though the tonneau was fitted, mind it didn't help that I was in bed for a week afterwards with a stomach bug!

A bit of cleaning wouldn't put me off going again in the Mog. Mind you, as we drove over from Paris for it and back the old girl needed a thorough clean anyway, so it didn't make much difference.
The car parks are almost as enjoyable as the revival - if everybody went in their everyday cars, you'd lose half the fun.

I will also be there in my 4 wheeler. I've taken it every year since 2007 and I can't remember it getting especially dirty.
Been a bit damp a couple of times though!

GR was always on my son and myselfs to do list.
BUT put off now by the cost and the crowds.
Victim of its own fantastic success!
The TV coverage is excellent - love the speed hillclimb outakes.
Brilliant!

The Goodwood Revival can get crowded but if you arrive early you can get round the main attractions in relative comfort and then be out along the track to watch the racing before the hoards arrive.
I go every year but I live on the doorstep. I'm not sure I could justify the cost annually if I had to factor in accommodation too but it's certainly worth doing at least once.
(The hillclimb by the way is the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a different event at a different venue).
