From the photos I've seen of the Slingshot it looks a bit naff. If cornering is such a deal breaker maybe a new fangled four wheeler would be better. No point in buying the wrong car twice

If outright cornering was the aim I would have bought a Caterham.

9/10ths in an M3W is probably 4-5/10ths in a Caterham, that why I bought the 3W.

I agree with Dab. I get really tired of all this "vs" stuff. If you don't understand that the three wheeler is unique in its own way get some thing else. When I want to go fast (reliably) I drive my Subaru Sti. I'm an old! motorcycle guy with several BSA's and the Morgan is perfect and with and including all its faults for me because it is just what it is--an imperfect full of fun and laughs machine

Spend a little time on http://www.slingshotforums.com/forum/polaris-slingshot-discussions.5/ and you might come to a different conclusion. The posts about steering issues, wheel failures, whine from the driveline, paint issues, etc. are informative to say the least.

i had a Slingshot for 3 years. It has much more room and extras that we like in the US. (cup holders and music). It was too quite so I put different exhaust on and added many $$ add ons.
I loved the engine but its weak point the the 90 degree rear gear box. So I started to look at a Vanderhall. Sold my Slingshot (they dont hold their value) most have a big lost when you sell.
Saw a video on the M3W and loved the S&S motor. I am a Harley owner for over 30 years. Love the looks and sound of the M3W so a few months ago bought a used 2017. So far love it.
Now after reading all the issues with the rubber compensator rollers and fuel pump I hope I did not make a mistake. Mine only has 3000miles so it just might out live me (i am 72).

I have a 2017 as well. No problems but I don’t mind upgrading things. The fuel pump is a couple hundred and the potential problem is in the rear view mirror. In my opinion it is the coolest thing in the road.

I fell in love with the look of the M3W the moment I first saw it on the internet. I watched every you tube video I could find on the little car. I knew then I would have to have one. It took me two years to bite the bullet and get one. Bought a new 2018 off a dealership showroom in West Virginia by photos they sent me. Had it shipped to my home in Arkansas never have even seen one in person. I didn't know what I was getting into but I had to have this little car. I could've gone and bought the production Polaris Slingshot at a local dealer at a much less cost. I am sure the slingshot is a technical marvel compared to the Morgan. I really don't care if it out handles, out runs, out comforts the Morgan. I love the feel of driving the Morgan. I love the fact that you won't pass another Morgan on the road. I love the fact that the car is rare and unique in the United States. And even if I get too old to get in the car, I will not sell it. I will just let it sit in my barn. I am totally hooked on this car even with all its somewhat issues. If it were my daily driver, then I would probably get a more practical car to drive but it isn't so I enjoy all the little quirks of the car. It is like driving a model A Ford with power! If Morgan redesigns the M3W, I will probably add one of them in my barn!

I test drove a slingshot a few years ago. The thrashy engine, poor traction, cheesy feel, turned me off so bad, I turned around and came right back after 3 minutes.

I went to look at one since the dealership is within sight of our home across the bay. Walked up to it and took a good look and the batmobible look really was not what interested me. The Vanderhall looks much better, and yet I purchased the Morgan and put up with the poor execution of a great aesthetic design.
