I need to order one new rear tyre.
Symetrical seems to be better
À narrow tyre ?
It is now a 175/65/15 H 84

It depends on whether you want it to last a long time, but not grip so well, or want it to be sticky and wear out in a couple of thousand kms?

What do you think about it ? My view of Michelin tyres is that they are generally very competent in all respects, but not necessarily the best (often out-performed in comparative tests by Vredestein, for example). On top of that, if you want a more expensive tyre than a Michelin, you usually have to make an effort to find it. I suspect that this Michelin is too good for the rear of the M3W. For the same reason, I have decided I do not want a Vredestein either - it would probably be even better than the Michelin and definitely less expensive. What I want on the Morgan's rear wheel is a hard-wearing tyre of good quality but moderate performance. I do not want too much grip.

Michelin X or XZX would certainly out last the car but so would a steel band and give about the same grip.
Try looking at a Hankook, I have used them for years with good results.

Try looking at a Hankook, I have used them for years with good results. I was wondering about Hankook. Seems worth a try. Thanks.

I've done 5k miles and the tread on my Yokohama Bluearth is down to around 3mm. I've got a track day next week so guess it will need renewing soon after.
I've emailed Mark Reeves for advice about which tyre is best. Mark said he has tried a few different makes but none could beat the Yokohama.
I am going to follow Marks advice and order another Yokohama Bluearth, but I'm unsure if a regular car tyre fitting bay is the right place to get the job done. Even if I remove the rear wheel myself, won't it still have the rear pulley attached? If so, will it fit on a tyre balancing machine like a regular car wheel?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Rear pulley is bolt on so can be easily removed.
