Mine certainly didn't - I'd had a black Z3 for a month after the Mk1 MX-5 before she wondered if something had changed, and she'd ridden in it a number of times over the month...

My wife is way smarter than I am - I would never get away with that.
I think the best I'm going to manage in the next couple if months is a fairly solid e46 m3 hopefully in a daft colour...

Order it in the same colour as the existing Aero - then rent a garage nearby - and swap them round once in a while. Be honest, women don't notice anything beyond the colour of the car anyway  I thought about that a couple of years ago.....but a trad Plus8 looks a bit too much different to an S1..... Albeit same colour.....  would not have been fooled....the boot would give it away.

Will definitely give this some consideration when I see the reveal in photo's next week. If the price is right on the new Aero 8....anyone want to buy an Aero S3? :-)

Will be interesting to see what happens to Aero 8 prices if there is a rush to trade. If the new car is £90K on the road (can't see it being much less than that) and an S3 is going for £40K trade and £45K retail it will end up costing £50K to change which is a lot!
Can't say the latest picture makes it look as wonderful as I was hoping and is that a hard top plonked on?
