Oh dear! Lets not star a soft top vs hard top thing. The next thing you know there will be people telling us that true Morgans should not have stereo systems or air conditioning  Or exterior door handles!!

Oh dear! Lets not star a soft top vs hard top thing. The next thing you know there will be people telling us that true Morgans should not have stereo systems or air conditioning Or exterior door handles!! Now that would be completely modern and so not Morgan!!!! Wasn't it a Ferrari (or some other generic tear drop variant!) that had voice activation to open the doors!!

I have never turned a radio on in any of my Morgans when fitted

I have never turned a radio on in any of my Morgans when fitted I have.....and turned it straight off....I couldn't hear it!!

A folding hard top need not be much heavier than a soft top if materials were chosen carefully.
And if there was a folding hard top it does not have to be automatic.
Actually operating by hand can be quicker than electric or hydraulic.
The roof line on the sneak peaks remind me of the mx5 folding hardtop!
No doubt answers can be had in 24 hours to all the speculation.

I think we are all getting a bit overly excited on this folding hard top thing
Surely a single seam above the windscreen line can only mean the possibility of a removable hardtop
I can't see that a folding hard top is doable on Morgan's R&D budget
Again I would love to be proved wrong

Yes Eric the R and D for such a product would be excessive ,with perhaps little sales benefit .But it could well be a detatchable unit similar to the old 70's mercedes SL range . Can't wait , extra power and no leaks !

Likewise - removable hardtop seems the obvious angle. If it's the new Aero 8 then it would follow. All previous Aeros have had optional removable hardtop.
Equally the fact they are showing the harstop worries me that the roof will be a pram style item and wreck the rear deck line as on s2,3,4. I don't want a tonneau - I want a flat rear deck with the hood out of sight so it doesn't spoil the line...
