After the Supercar Breakfast (a bacon roll and a coffee it would seem) I took a wander up diverse roads to Ballater, then over Glen Gairn in stunning sunshine and only a little horizontal snow before returning home down Donside with a stop for lunch at the Kildrummy Inn. Cobwebs blown away to a suitably high standard.

looks lovely,
I went out around the cotswolds today. I noticed it was the first day i have seen other vintage cars on the road. I saw a triumph talbot and a jaguar e-type. Spring is finally here.

How do you find those blockey tyres?

The Blockleys are much better than the Avons with more grip and more progressive breakaway. No down sides as far as I'm concerned though some people reckon they are less good in the wet than the Avons - my feeling is that they are actually every bit as good in the wet but it is just a bigger step down from their performance in the dry than you get with the Avons. Not much difference in price the last time I looked either.

+1
Been using Blockleys for a couple of months now , including trackdays and I think they are much better than the Avons

Thanks both. I think I will give them a go next time. I have about a third left which should go 1500 miles... or another track day.

Been for a run about on the Cairn O'Mount road again and had a play with my new GoPro...no fancy editing, no music...
