Exactly the same on my 2008 +4, it's a 2 seater but my previous 4 seater of the same age did the same as well, both cars normally run with side screens on and it still does it.

I have the same issue Peter. My 4/4 has a coating of muck on the inside windscreen and dash.
It can be cleaned off quickly but is a pain if you have been out all day and drive home in the dark as oncoming headlights make it tough to see thorough a dirty screen.
One of the peculiarities of aero dynamics I suppose. My daughter was amazed to find her hair blew forward when we were travelling hood down. I don't have enough hair to notice ooo

I have experienced this with our car on occasions yet on a long drive through Switzerland in light drizzle it did not happen. It was night and at first I was looking for a place to stop and put up the hood but then we realised that we were not getting wet so we kept going. Nothing came onto the inside of the screen yet on other occasions we have been more-or-less compelled to put up the hood, not just to keep dry but to stop having to constantly wipe down the inside of the screen.

I get it Peter in my 2014 4/4. I used to get it in the roadster but not so badly. I wonder if it's to do with the curved bit that houses the reversing and fog lights.i keep meaning to fit something to the rack to see if I can change the airflow. It also coats the back of the headrests. It's definitely from the back as I once drive on a dry day through a deep roadwide puddle at 40 mph and the water just cascaded over me and the screen from behind. I must fit some mud flaps and maybe a solid plate on the bottom of the luggage rack would help?

I put my heated windscreen on to dry the wetness off the inside of the screen.

Perhaps Morgan needs to put one of these on the back? mercedes 190 evo cosworth hide getcoat

The flat, upright screen causes a downdraught on the top/back of my head. The screen is like an airbrake!
The headrest stops nearly all of it.
Spray comes onto the inside of the screen, in heavy rain it just dribbles over the top. Wipers inside would be nice!
Wind deflectors don't do much. I once had a cap blown off my head and down into my lap.
I have a rear windstop and that helped a bit with the back of the head blast but it won't fit now, my rollbar means I need to modify the fitting to get it back.
Water will always come over the top of the screen frame, blown by wind. It will only be stopped by a hood or some kind of catcher to channel it away.
I'd like to see if a screen with a bit more rake would improve the back of the neck issue, but it won't stop water dribbling over.
I have posted in another topic about a Bimini type top ( thanks Graham for giving the name!). Effectively a soft top without sides or rear. Handy in strong sun or showery weather.
Might look odd though.
I think most people just carry towels to mop up the water.
The aerodynamics( or lack of...) mean there is a flow from the top of my head blowing forward into the inside of the screen...people in work knew I came in the Mog due to forward blown hair!

An umbrella has saved me a couple of times. When stopped at lights a downpour started, umbrella went up...got some odd looks and laughs... crazy3
It is a necessary accessory...like towels!

Do you get more or less spray/misting as you speed increases?
