It certainly can be rebuilt and if you are of a mechanical mind and don't count your labour, you can not only cover your costs but actually make some value too. I'm rebuilding a 65 4/4, parts for which I've been collecting for about 10 years, if I get it professionally painted will still cost less than £5k. Cheers Mike

To me it looks more like a selection of parts, there doesn't appear to be a chassis.. Given the uncrumpled state of the fronts wing etc, it doesn't appear to of been a accident..
Maybe a restoration was started but never finished..
The wheels would suggest 82-92, however they would of fitted on any earlier morgan, as they are just VW ones quite easy to get hold off, however headlight pod position means it must be post 1969..

It's great to be sentimental about saving every Morgan but realistically with this one, unless it has a special history that makes it worthwhile saving, just what is the point? Restoration costs will far exceed the value of the car and looking at what is left of it, what will remain original?

This is what happens if you don't keep up with squirting a bit of ACF50 along the wing beads

Depending on what parts are included it COULD be a decent project. Also the asking price! Paperwork would make reg a bit easier too. The real cost inflater is labour so if you are hands on then you only have to put a price on your own time, and that is effectively offset by the enjoyment factor. With a Morgan even spraying is possible as the panels can be done individually PROVIDED safety breathing kit is used! Failing that pre-paint prep can be done and take the bits to a sprayer to finish.

I always wanted a 4 Place carcass to use only the back seat and rear axle as a sitting chair in my garage. This one is a bit too far away.
Cheers, Mark
