Just been catching up on the news about Clarkson.

Have to say not surprised ...been spiralling out of control for some time IMO.

I used to enjoy TG but not watched for about a year ...become way too silly scoolboy for me.

Sorry, just had to pop back for this... just seen it on the news.

Not before time..... IMHO of course wink

P.S. Re Budster... Hopefully on some obscure cable channel that next to nobody can receive. At least then his obscene salary as reward for his boorish antics won't be on the licence payer's account....

He should be sacked and made to pay back all we licence payers have given him.

Well I am not surprised, some of his comments were becoming a bit outrageous IMO, I hope TG becomes a bit more factual and unbiased as a result if it survives.

Top Gear is the BBC's largest earning program, form its sales overseas, magazines, etc.

He may be opinionalted, totally un PC and something of an oaf, but I'll bet the BBC back track as they need the money and there are other TV Production Companies that would pick him up in an instant.

It is entertainment and far more amusing than the "Other" programs...

This is very true, he brings in the dosh so he would easily get picked up, the point about the show is the three presenters are entertainers, I once watched a US version and truly it was dire, TG may have gone a bit silly but its still amusing and watchable.

Agreed I still watch TG for the schoolboy humour! Put him on with Quentin and watch the Sparks fly.

You would have some difficulty there. The Beeb owns a large part of Top Gear and they have been successfully flogging it round the world for years. In short its actuially made quite a lot of money for us .

He might be a pillock but he has been a very profitable pillock for the BBC
