Hi, Just received this in an email from Hopmog. Does anyone know any more about it? It all seems at bit sad!

"To centre secretaries of the MSCC.

Sadly it has come to my attention that more than a few of you are dissatisfied with the way your Club is being run.

Indeed I understand that several members of long standing are resigning from the Club, a very sad state of affairs. There is I know, as has been aired on Mogtalk, a lot of controversy about the new company brought in to run the Classic Le Mans trip, the inflated costs of same without all the benefits arranged by the good team of Q & A. I for one would be interested to know, who unbeknown to Quentin told the hotels that he had resigned. I would be very interested to hear the members views on this, or any other topic, to do with the running of the MSCC.

You may contact me on either; peking to paris007@aol.com or charlesjohnsmith@aol.com Please make the subject AGM.

I may add that my fellow Vice President Dixon Smith is in full agreement, indeed it was he who suggested we must take it further.

The AGM is to be held on April 25th, 1.30 for 2.00pm., at the Morgan Motor Co. visitor centre, I urge all members to attend both to vote and express their feelings.

Chas. Smith
Vice President. Morgan Sports Car Club."

Exactly ..... all that negativity is wasted time .... it could be spent arranging a get together or drive somewhere or a tech talk. Power eh!!. While I was reading the negativity swmbo booked a trip to Germany stopping along the romantic route taking in the views. Much better I think than "He said She said" ooo

Sad it is: PM sent.

As others have said sometimes it is far, far more productive to move on and enjoy life.

That was actually posted directly by Chas on MogTalk at the weekend.
I do believe he really wants to know why people are dropping MSCC membership and why there is so much negativity towards the club... smile

I agree, understanding why is important, if a club is to continue and keep membership if it is loosing them, then something is turning them off or it is not catering for them in one way or another.

I am with Graham on this one.

I do feel that the committee has become remote from the members. I would like to see more technical articles in Miscellany. I would like to know why the club has treated Quentin and Anne English in a less than gentlemanly manner without reference to the members.

People have changed over the last 20 year vastly I feel they want more but wish to do less for it generally lazy . Sit on there arse and leave it to others . Where as years ago they where happy with a meet up a run and a bite to eat in a pub. Maybe its our own fault and we should turn the clock back to the more simple things . If it was not for Dave W. Miscellany would have no technical write ups. Remote or holier than thou I ask. soapbox
