The Beeb owns a large part of Top Gear and they have been successfully flogging it round the world for years. In short its actuially made quite a lot of money for us . He might be a pillock but he has been a very profitable pillock for the BBC Does that mean if he gets the SACK my licence fee goes up.

A sad day for individuality and those who find the drudgery of politically correct liberalism moronic. I dont always agree with him but he is a refreshing antidote to almost everyone else on tv. And its a fun show to watch. This series has been under par. he is clearly suffering from a difficult year personally and professionally. He has looked flu ridden and half dead alot of this series.
I like him most of all becuase sister in laws cant stand him.

He's only been suspended. I suspect that it will all blow over and he'll be back with a final warning. I personally don't like him but TG would struggle without him.
I never thought I'd say it..but I prefer him and his co-presenters to the sleazy Quentin Wilson and his awkward side kick Jodie.

... That'll be his FINAL final warning Jays. I think the show has really run its course, the ideas are getting desperate - eg the "boring Peugeot" episode and the guys are beginning to get long in the tooth. All 3 are millionaires and May & Hammond have their offshoot programmes, so perhaps it is time to call it a day? Or call it something that doesn't offend Auntie. Cheers

I never thought I'd say it..but I prefer him and his co-presenters to the sleazy Quentin Wilson and his awkward side kick Jodie. I agree, can't stand him but feel even worse about QW.. Hammond and May are ok on their own..but would miss Jezzer I think.

Time for Chris Harris, Vicky Butler Henderson and Sabine to takeover with some real talent and an end to the 1970's innuendo.
It's over run it's course by about 3 years as far as I'm concerned - complacency does not make for good entertainment.
