indeed, wirewheels are no good for high-speed-rides,
... Is it still true? (I mean for speed on road, not for semi-pro racing) H3

they told me so at the dealer, but I really always wanted a MOrgan without wire-wheels

... Is it still true? (I mean for speed on road, not for semi-pro racing) H3 The stainless steel wire wheels are heavier than the stock alloys. If you abide by the principal that it is ideal to reduce the unsprung weight, to a minimum, at each corner of the car, the lighter the wheel the better. Reducing the weight of the wheels will assist the suspension and therefore the composure of the car on road, or track. You also have the overall issue of weight vs power... as Colin Chapman said, "add lightness to go quicker". That said, I'd always buy what you like based on aesthetics when it comes to something you are owning for pleasure.

1560, Lovely color combination. congrats on your choise.  (maybe even better with black wire wheels?  ) All a matter of taste of course. But I am intreaged by the "not good for speed comment"  Can anyone be more "specific" on that. I have done a fair bit of thrashing around on the b-roads already and also been flat out on the motorway, should I worry? and if so what would happen? I was told it would be fine altough the spokes might need a tune up at some point in the future. Not heard much on this issue yet. JT

I'll ask him,
as I am locked-up in jail° for the moment,
and the car will be hard-topped at delivery
sh°t; forgot to check wether rollbar is black as ordered...
°for those who worrie: my brother in law and I run a shop, and he is skiing, so I have to keep the shop open 24/7

Beautiful looking car and I really love those Plus 8 alloys in black.  ...as you can probably imagine I am a great fan of your colour scheme Have you thought of having it wrapped with orange wings...
