That is exactly what I did, I wonder if G56 will just sell the air cleaner on its own as my exhaust is black with no baffles.
You boys with straight-through OEM pipes much be driving very noisy cars I'd have thought? There's pretty much zero sound absorption material in those stock pipes and I was warned off buying the factory straight open pipes (P/N's U310021 / U310022 !) as they would be too loud for the road. They will however flow well and I am a little surprised that no one reported big power increases with the restrictions removed? You can see the evidence of the improved effectiveness of the flow in the lack of red glowing headers, but I guess you need to open up the intake side too to get the full effect.
To my mind the G56 pipes will flow as well as they can for their size and length and will provide effective silencing too, which is the best of both worlds really, although I accept that some folks might prefer the 'slimline' look of the stock pipes.
Either way, we now know how to make the engine run as it was designed in the first place, so that's a result!

I am wondering about pipe diameter. Do you notice a performance increase? When you stand behind, do leaves and sheets get blown around somewhat frantically?
There is a recording of the exhaust note on their Twitter feed @G56info. Posted 1 day ago. Gives the impression that it is pretty well silenced if you can judge that from a video. Exhaust note sounds different from standard, not as mellow.
