I picked her up from Borghi today after her spring service and there she was with 2 new "eyes" on top of her front wings. Now she looks like a proper Morgan.

Another job that was done was the fitting of two extra zips to the tonneau cover. This allows the side sections to be folded and tucked behind the seats leaving a much neater cover for the easy-up hood and at the same time leaving a much freer run for the seatbelts.

Finally some electrical work was done. The fog/spots only come on with high beam; not what you want for fog lights but perfect for night driving lights. They can still be turned of with a switch. A beeper (annoying thing)has been installed so that if I turn off the ignition with the lights on I am warned (no more flat batteries).

Also the relays for the aircon have no been correctly mounted in line with the other relays up under the dash. Impossible to get at but also impossible to photograph. Borghi do it on nearly all the cars they sell. It uses two Velcro tabs the same as the centre zip at the dash end. On option is to place two press studs on the inside behind the door (next to the seat back). You use the press stud you see near the right hand seat in the third photo. It is the stud that normally fastens to the outside of the door when the sidescreens are off.

I am sure Williams could do it in a flash.

Two other little jobs were done that I forgot to mention: the drain holes were drilled in the front of the window slide channels (where the factory is now drilling them), and some sealant was placed under the bottom corners of the windscreen.

On a recent trip a little water was noticed coming in on the passenger side bottom corner of the windscreen. When I mentioned it to the mechanic I looked under the rubber from the outside and you could see right through a gap! the rubber does not completely cover the corner between the bottom of the windscreen and the bodywork so it is almost impossible that water would not enter and there is no other seal under the windscreen. I would recommend to owners to gently look at the corner of the rubber and check to see if there is a gap.

As your wing lights were fitted in Italy, do they wink at passing Fiat 500s?

They probably leer at the Arbarth 500s

They do finish the car off nicely and add to the view down the bonnet.

I like the tonneau with three zippers. Thats a very good idea.

very interesting! I thought about the problem with the blocked seatbelts for quite a long time.

Would it be possible to illustrate via some more photos in a more detailed way the "construction" of the added zippers, studs, velcro taps etc.?

That could be a good solution for many of us (also redundantising for example a second ("shorter") tonneau cover).

still think you need to speak to Uncle Cain and fit a valance, all that power gets a lot of draught under the front.

Be interesting to see how the +4 compares with the new one of Raphael
