A spare tire is not an issue for me. Did not have one on the last 3 cars. And I never had one on a motorbike...

As likely as not if you has a spare and a puncture you would probably have difficulty in changing the wheel anyway. And you get a little extra luggage space.

Best thing is to test drive a 4/4 and a +4 (and any other Mogs you can). I was set on having a +4 until I tried a 4/4 and loved it. The 4/4 requires more gear changes and revving and that is what I wanted from a classic sports car. Most of the driving I do is on twisting narrow country lanes where high speed is not needed and the 4/4 gives me great fun at 30 - 50 mph. I opted to have a spare wheel but mainly because I liked the look of it and partly because I drive a lot in areas with no mobile phone signal so feel happier knowing I have the spare. In truth I can only remember changing a tyre once in the last 20 years so I would not be too concerned if I had no spare - many other modern cars have none supplied.
We are all different and Morgans allow a large range of choice so try as many as you can and I'll bet the car chooses you in the end.

Since you already have an M3W and are looking for a car to go touring with your wife the Plus 4 may suit you better, but that is a decision only you can make. Borghi has a very nice 4/4 at the moment http://morganautomobili.it/morgan-occasione.htmlAnd a Plus 4 SS that is not on his web site.

My 4/4 Sport has been a pleasure. It has a spare and I am now fitting a luggage rack for holidays.
The standard car is gutless but a few upgrades makes it more fun. Cold air induction, sports exhaust and a remap has helped. I may change the diff ratio. Im sure the throttle bodies would be amazing.

Throttle bodies really only make a difference from about 4,000rpm and up. They sound fantastic and encourage hooliganism but if your driving style is more relaxed it would be difficult to justify the expense.

If cost is an issue for the TB's - This dude is making some pretty good manifolds - http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/danstengand I've also heard that these guys make some pretty amazing kits for caterhams/lotus 7's etc - http://www.boggbros.co.uk/fabrication.htmlbut haven't had any experience with either. (I had mine fabbed locally) cheers Lach
