Sorry Reg, I don't agree. In this day and age you just cannot be allowed to hit someone in the face in a work place and be allowed to get away with it.
It is a sad end to Top Gear and Clarkson should be ashamed of himself for bringing the programme down. That's the point the line has to be drawn and Clarkson clearly crossed it end of story we don't live in the jungle anymore.  Fully agree.

I believe that the oik that Clarkson has become is lucky he is not up in front of the Beak for ABH and he actually fortunate that Mr Tymon has not pressed for this. Clearly Clarkson's ego has got out of control (unbelievable that he would continue his verbal assault after the physical one). He needs counselling and should spend a small portion of some of his millions on getting help. Well done Auntie. I know the £££millions from TG will fall but decency and doing the right thing should always trump money. Are you listening in Westminster ???

Could all this have been avoided if the hotel had pulled there finger out they will have been well paid off the BBC . They should have taken details and had food ready someone needs his arse kicking . Also why did one of the bosses not step in I know the area well there is a cracking chippy up the road almost as good as Whitby and anyone with a bit of brain could have tried to cool it down by going for food be it fried , pizzas , or curry washed down with a few beers.

It's not clear whether the lack of a steak was because there was no steak, or because the hotel were not doing hot meals at that time (late maybe), or because the budget wouldn't stretch.
The fact that Clarkson blamed the producer implies there was a choice, but if the budget didn't cover a steak (which seems unlikely?) why didn't he buy his own?
He acted like a spoilt child. The result of celebrity status.
We were once in a large hotel in Torquay having a drink, when the crew from the BBC Radio 1 Roadshow came into the lounge. Their behaviour was loud, boorish and totally inappropriate in a public place. We drank up and left.

Always Always have a supply of Pot Noodle available. Clarkson would have been fine as the lovely E- aroma of Chicken and Mushroom wafted - just add hot water.
