Hello,

does anybody know which type of bulb (and the correct description) is fitted inside the clock on the Morgan dash? The clock is a Smith one from Caerborn. I'd like to order one before I remove the dash again but can't find the information.

Regards

I thought that the 3.7 Roadster used the Mustang instruments....or are you talking about another car?

For a modern Morgan, it's likely to be freely available at any bulb supplier. So if you can't find out, you should be able just take the bulb to a supplier and get one of the shelf.

John - the 3.7 Roadster has a Smiths clock. Only the main instruments are ex-Mustang.
Best wishes,

Hi, there was another recent thread on here re changing the 3.7 Dash dials, it also referred to the bulbs. The centre dash bulbs it said were LED, so not sure about the clock. The owner doing the change may be able to help. If you find out please let me know as I will be doing similar and would like to know as well.

These are the same as the dash instruments on my Plus 8.

Here is a supplier and picture for identification.

Thank you guys,

that's very helpfull. The bulb in my clock is tinted blue to match the Mustang instruments. But they used too much colour, so it's hardly readable at night and very blue..
I'd like to replace it with a white bulb.

Adrian, the other thread was also started by me, this one is related but I thought it would make sense to separate the two to make it easier for others who later search for the same information.

Regards
