Looking good.
The trick to getting my hubs off is remove the four bolts (consider changing as may shear when reused), release hand brake, slacken brake adjuster (square stub behind the hub) and tap the edge of the hub with a hammer and wooden cushion. A small amount of penetrating oil can help too. But make sure you don't get any inside or if you do clean it up.

Bit late now I appreciate. But I had similar problem and started to go for the 'remove the hub' as well plan (remove split pin and nut) and even invested in a large hub puller only to then be told by a 'professional' that you should try and bang on the drums as if you are banging them 'On' and it worked!
See these professionals now all the short cuts!

On a related note, has anyone ever had luck pulling off a rear wire-wheel hub without removing the axle shaft? The factory and aftermarket service manuals all state it's possible. I broke a rental puller, and have been beating on a mega-huge puller all weekend and the thing won't budge.
I also tried pulling the axle shaft but it's not moving, and would rather not have to remove the whole shaft anyways. I do have access to a 20-ton press if I remove the axle shaft.

^ Let the huge puller sit on there for a week with heaps of PB Blaster. Today I took the puller off, screwed the 2 eared spinner back onto the hub, and hit the back-side of the spinner with a rubber hammer. The hub came right off.

As matter of interest when servicing the rear brakes on a 2011 4/4. Would it be easier to remove the brake cylinder rather than the hub, to facilitate the dismantling & getting the shoes back on ?

I got one side on mine off OK. The other one wouldn't budge so we had to take the half shaft out and get it off with a hydraulic press.

I had similar problem.....use a hide mallet and bang it 'ON'.. somehow the drum reacts and 'pinged' off when I tried after basically getting frustrated and decided to give it a whack!!
