I would have thought the Z4 less turbulent than a Mog?

Very much so Mark. Just that having spent hours on my hair I can't have it getting messed up. You could always leave it in the glovebox until you arrive I could but the toupe tape is a real bugger to fit unless in front of a large mirror.

A 6" nail would work...use the spinner mallet....

I do use one on my Z4 but then I don't want to mess my hair. My young daughter doesn't even use the Hair net in her Z4

I have one off my Plus8.... The proper one(  ). It doesn't fit due to adding a rollbar I did try it a couple of times prior to that but it wasn't really that effective, even with sidescreens. I now just put my collar up or wear a neck warmer. It was a decent design and had a flap that would fix onto hood studs at the back to cover the behind the seats shelf. The fixing brackets screwed onto the inside of the rear space and screen had locating pins to slide in. It came with a zipped bag. Fitted by a previous owner at Ł200+. I think there are still photos in talkmorgan photobucket account.

I thought the idea of putting the roof down was to get some fresh air ie wind !

I thought the idea of putting the roof down was to get some fresh air ie wind ! When the wind is laden wth moisture and the moisture is dumped onto the inside of the screen, dashboard and even the sill between seat and door it is possible to have too much of a good thing...
