I went to the garage today, a separate lockup I use for the M3W, opened it and took a good long look. It still carries a few insect smudges on the engine as I was rather hasty in putting it away.
I sighed.
Today is April 1st. There is still much snow on the ground, the ground itself is frozen about 5 to 7 feet down. The frost heaves on the roadways are terrible. I truthfully don't expect to be able to drive this thing until May!
This saddens me. I am having thoughts of moving South. I don't want to. I hate grits.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Well Michael, I can well understand your frustration. Here in California the streets are dry, no frost and NO RAIN! I don't know what is worse--
The lack of water or the mess you guys had out there last winter. It is truly a serious situation out here. The Gov just mandated a 20% cut in water and maybe more to come. I guess all we can do is pick our poison.

Sorry, couldnīt resist. As I have remarked to various people, "The heater does not exist but the AC is awesome!" -- Even if the sun is out and I'm all bundled up, there is still a real danger of frostbite. gack

I guess all we can do is pick our poison. I used to live in Sonoma County as well as Los Angeles. Born and raised out there in fact. It is disheartening to see what is going on. I regularly cue up the cameras at Kirkwood Ski Resort (One of my faves!) and it is the most depressing site. More dirt than snow. Years ago one winter's take would be over fifty feet of snow but now it barely measures 6! Can you say "dustbowl", boys and girls? nice try
