Many thanks for all your kind thoughts. For those not of a squeamish nature see picture below. Still amazed at the damage done just from a fall. Gives me a fresh view on those who ride bikes without helmet and gloves. http://www.barndance.co.uk/_images/plugugly.jpg Will take time to sort things out though - offer for short term loan still open. As Penny took early retirement, at least I do have my very own home help & transport service!

A friend at the other end of our lane is an ex police driver and has kindly volunteered to run me about, but thanks for the offer. May yet also persuade Penny to have a go.

Thanks! Appointments on Monday and Tuesday re wrist and head, will start process to find out initial problem on Monday. As an ex civil servant, belong to Benenden Hospital scheme (not that far away from us) hope to get referred there for scans & tests.
