Dear All,
I am trying to source the correct Banner Battery.
I have had an aftermarket fitted for the last year and want to revert back to the correct OEM.

I have tried to look at photos
Can anyone confirm that the white sticker on the top of the battery with the barcode has the product code 53034?

Regards,
Charles

Hi Charles,

I'm not near the car but have a photo showing part of the sticker - it looks as if it ends in a 0.

I can check tomorrow if no one else can confirm before then.

The battery spec and p/n is:

Banner “Starting Bull” p/n 530 03. 12V , 30A, 300A coldcrank. 187mm L, 128mm W, 165m H. Bolt through terminals.

Hope that helps.

Thanks both, I got the spec as 53030.

I dug out an old photo

I have found many for sale with the product code 53034. These are used in Caterhams but are not appropriate because the terminals are reversed.

My original problem is that the Yuasa 53030 battery that i fitted last year started leaking.... onto the front brake hose which sits below the oil tank... which was not ok.
It also had to be put in a special cradle i made because it was too wide for the M3W battery cradle.

The last retail outfit to be selling the correct battery say they are struggling to find any at the moment. I guess i will have to ask MMC, or change to a third option.

I see an AGM technology non-leak battery on the web. £££ but a slightly higher cold crank rating and smaller.

I think i will go for that.

Charles
