Hi I am waiting delivery of a 3.7 having decided to trade up from a 3.0L with engine mods. Having owned before a plus 8 and driven a plus 4, decided I would miss the extra power, plus the power steering on the new 3.7. All helped my decision

Hi Gatewright,
By "Never Sell" he meant great car no longer manufactured.
Who knows what will happen on values. Two Roadsters on the market right now - one is offered at the same price it cost in 2009, and the second has suffered 10% depreciation in six years!
I have had four Mog's and yet to suffer any loss when cumulative purchase prices are compared to cumulative sales prices. Maybe I have been lucky - but no other car matches low Morgan depreciation.
Good Luck
David H

Clipper, is your comparison between a Plus 4 and a Roadster 3.7?

Clipper - I would think comparing fuel running costs would be the least consideration to make here(?) the differences in purchase price, maintenance, etc. and everything else aside you're looking at about £1,500 over the course of about 30,000miles difference between whatever the two models are you quoted(I just did the figures on a scratch pad - I could be exponentially off).
If they are indeed numbers for the Plus 4 and new 3.7 and someone gave me the option of both at the same price? The 3.7 would win out for a number of reasons and I'd eat the £1,500 over 30K miles because from what I've heard, it's worth a lot more than that!

You are probably right Utah - also though, the various Ministers in charge of tax in Europe like to grab your testicles and give them a good hard squeeze if you dare buy a car with a big engine and higher Co2 rating.

In the UK they are less viscious than in other countries, but £500 a year for the Plus 8 seems a bit steep, especially as the tax on fuel paid is higher, reflecting the mpg...
