That doesn't look like your average Best Western. smile

Oh my goodness!

I've stayed in a few Best Westerns in the UK. shocked2

I have a feeling that this one in France might be just a bit different

We had many holidays when I was a kid around Bordeaux, Arcachon and Mimizan. Wonderful part of the world.

Some French whine I can tolerate!

However, the moules are partially stuffed with a mixture of breadcrumbs, duck breast and herbs, and then cooked in duck fat. Naturally the frites are also double-cooked in duck fat too. eat

The diet starts on Monday... sick

I can add to that recomendation too. Best mussels I have ever eaten. They also had some wonderful scollops (Coquilles St Jacques) when we were there.

If you are in the Bordeaux area it is worth while keeping in mind the Chateau de Puyrigaud, http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/106301/France_Leoville_Chateau_de_Puy#Post106301

If you go there it is well worth while saying you would like to eat there of an evening. You had better skip lunch as you will need to be hungry to manage it all and if you can manage all they serve for breakfast you will be doing better than me.

We have been there three times now and can't wait to go back.

They have a nearby distiller of cognac so don't forget to ask to try Michel's cognac. If you visit in a Morgan Michel will be happy to show you how cognac is made and give you a tasting http://www.domaine-des-roussets.com/ Michel is a small supplier to some of the better known cognac labels but his reserve XO Cognac is nothing short of magnificent.

A first for me in my 4/4 yesterday. I took off the side screens. I have only done 1700 miles and not used the roof in anger yet. I have wind deflectors so enjoyed the whole experience on a nice day. Needed some small fixings and a trolley jack so took a lovely coastal route.

Now to fit the remote greasing points for the front sliding pillar suspension.

Once you've taken the side screens off Donald, there's no turning back......look at Graham!

It'll be aero screens next!!

I have discovered this truth....
The side screens are now in their cover in a corner of the garage.
The tonneau goes on today.

Aero screens? A step too far. For me, anyway.

With the Merc still in paint shop following it being rear ended I took the Mog in the rain to Tescos.
Great fun.
No water ingress from the hood.

Now I need to clean it though!!
