You could call at Aero Leathers at Galashiels and get a Horsehide Jacket.

What a coincidence....just ordered a jacket from them yesterday!

Bell & Colvill in Surrey will be selling my Roadster (I bought a +8), I'm not sure what they're going to sell it for, but it should be a bargain as it has every extra known to man. It was also rather well looked after.

Just a thought. smile

Thanks. I'll take a look at their website.

Hi,
I also have a Brooklands roadster purchased from Russell, but I live 150 miles further north from Perth. I make this run regularly , in the Morgan, , my wife's hot Golf and our BMW. I'd avoid the A1 and the A 68 like the plague. The A1 is very slow with heavy goods and the A68 also and littered with speed cameras.I'd use the M11,A1 much of which is now A1(M) , A66 ,M6, M74, M73, M80 and A9. ( watch the average speed cameras on the A9) . Alternatively the M1, A1M ..........
You'll find the seats in the Brooklands very comfortable for long distance and the 3.7 performance awesome . I personal think the 3.7 if you drive it enthusiastically to be a tad underbraked, morgan should really have put discs all round and four pot vented on the front .

I have a Brooklands too and have changed the pads to Mintex 1155s and that has made a difference but they can still over heat (in the Alps last year). I also have just changed to Continental premium contact 5 which give more grip.

You could always treat yourself to a set of Tarox six pot calipers and vented disks from Williams....they really work well without over braking the front end.

So did I two weeks ago. Their horsehide jackets are great.

regarding the brake upgrade:
Do you mainly upgrade because of the better feel or is it seriosly because you have fading on spirited road usage?

thumbs

I must say that they were extremely patient and helpful with me in sorting out what I wanted. Bit like buying a Morgan really....speccing it and then having a build time!
Can't wait to get it!
