I just want to share my purchasing experience with everyone at Talk Morgan.
After long searching the dealers and private ads for a Morgan car I finally agreed to buy my car from a private seller in Congleton, Its a 1997 4/4 in Connaught Green and has been well looked after with very low mileage.
When I finally picked up the car I drove it back to the north east on a sunny Sunday afternoon at the end of March with the top down and the side screens off. I say sunny but it wasn't warm.
Anyway when I got home I took my daughter out for a spin, loaning her a coat to keep warm, after dropping her off at her home she rang me from the house phone to say she couldn't find her mobile and had she left it in the car, after searching for it I finally heard it ringing and found it in the folds of the hood where it had slipped out of the coat pocket. However whilst searching I found a brand new book in a Tesco carrier behind the passenger seat so quickly phoned the seller to say he had left a book in the car and I would post it back. He said 'have you looked inside' when I did I found a hand written note on the title page saying 'to Lance with Best Wishes from Ron'.
I thanked him for his lovely gesture and said goodbye.
On further reading of the book I discovered that it wasn't just a book, the book had been written by him.
What a lovely thoughtful gesture, I will treasure it and it will remind me what a great community Morgan ownership is and also that I made the right choice of car from a lovely couple who I am sure were sorry to see it go.

it seem that the Morgan Community now has a lot to live up too. We will try.
I'm sure that JTL, on this forum and also from near you in NE, will have plenty of tales of friendly Morgan owners. Over to you JTL.

Me too Andy. I have been considering selling Nero and moving on to something else, non Morgan related but classic, but Ive also met some great people through having a Morgan..mostly due to TM and I somehow think I won't get that with another marque.
