This question may fit to the battery thread:
I am collecting my 4/4 soon. Together with the car comes a battery conditioner.
Non of the cars I ever had got supplied with an external battery charger while in this forum many Moggys get hooked on to external electricity.
What is the reason for such special precaution?
(I have my bike battery on a conditioner during the winter brake but all cars get used frequently, at least once or twice per month and battery is no issue there...)
I put mine on a conditioner, even in summer .
It keeps the battery plates clean and topped up due to low level drain from the immobiliser. It "senses" the condition of the battery and changes its recharge mode to suit.
The battery is an Oddysey....good make.
I do 7k + miles a year in the Mog....and use her regularly...rarely left more than 2 weeks without a run.
