Stoke Fleming - Higher Ferry to Kingswear - Paignton- Torquay - Totnes - Stoke Fleming a beautiful 20C full sun day. I lost count of the topless contemporary cars I saw they are definitely on the increase, down here anyway. Global warming ..

Jays, sorry to hear that. As we say in german: if you are sane you have a thousand wishes. If not you only have one. I wish you all the best and hope you soon will be hale and hearty again.

10 miles today MOT time, Italian tune up on the way to clear carbs and pipes. It worked another 12 months of pleasure from the old girl. Still talking the +8. Roll on the sunny days.

I had a very hot and sweaty day in London, with back to back meetings in dim board rooms.... I rushed home and took my son out into Sussex in the 8 in the fading light. Just got back. A magical way to unwind.

Yesterday was the first day in the year that I drove home without a jacket. I still need the trusty flying jacket in the mornings, it's still a bit nippy at 07:00, but coming home yesterday was a delight. And it's still only halfway through April. Bloomin' marvellous

Spent the day driving to Williams and back, full story elsewhere. The route was long and twisted as the Highways Authority have closed off the A36 just south of Bath for long term road works and the "recommended" alternative is a never ending stream of trucks moving at 35mph, or so it seems.
Driving back was a delight, open roads, trees starting to show leaves, blue sky...so warm that I was able to drive in shirt sleeves and a thin gilet..and no jacket: I had the A/C running to keep my feet cool.
What a delight! 164 miles and only 50% of a full tank used, so 22.5L.

Last two days driven to Exeter using different routes with roof off, side screens on in the morning. Drove home with side screens off yesterday evening which was lovely and warm. Not a quick run as quite a bit of traffic about and Learner a few cars up front but very enjoyable. One quick blast on a long straight to overtake which was fun, the motorbike that followed could not keep up. I now have a raging sore throat, and sound odd.
