On the original rim? Not too low? What are the dimensions? What tire? I´m having difficulties finding rubber for the rear...

5,800 miles on rear sprocket and drive belt - just replaced.
5,800 miles on original Bridgestone, replaced with Yoko Blue Earth at 2+mm remaining.

Surely 2000 - 10000 miles can't be right? I noticed that only a couple of people have had their sprockets replaced under warranty, everyone else has been refused, and had to buy a new one themselves. In the UK at least, there must be a claim against the seller of not being of merchantable quality.

Has anyone actually taken things this far, and if not, why not?

Thats what I asked Paul. The sprocket may be classed as a consumable but it is also subject to the 'fair wear and tear' clause. I can't see fair wear and tear being 2000mls! Someone hinted at a steel sprocket under warranty? Is this so?

This is something that has been galling me for some time.
It does appear that Morgan are very selective with regards who they help out. My local dealer has been helpful at all times but I think they are also a little exasperated with the 3W.
I do appreciate that the steel pulleys may be pre production prototypes, however I do think Morgan have to up their game regards customer liaison and support.

It won't happen Matty, they'll just bumble along in the same old way they've done for decades. It's a good job they don't actually have to SELL cars like most manufacturers.

Yes I am afraid your right. Nothing will change.
Still love the 3W and have resigned myself to do all that is required to improve and modify. Seeing the 2 and 3 speeders at Combe Mill recently and talking to some of their pilots made me realise that Morgan have never got it right first, second or third time, they never have listened to the experience of the owners and its up to us to give our 3W's the care and commitment and improvement it deserves.
A great conceptual design let down by shoddy engineering and execution.
I am personally looking forward to letting go of the past two years and designing some real improvements. First job: to make some decent exhaust brackets mounted on the chassis not the bodywork.

My last two sprockets were covered by the dealer. He, too, is a bit disgusted with Morgan. Apparently the bean counters are now in charge due to the 'unexpected' costs associated with the 3 wheeler.

The sprocket is NOT a consumable. Were it made of the proper material it would last the life of the car. The belt is a consumable and is treated accordingly. The cam belt is a consumable but the cam sprockets are not and are fully expected to last the life of the engine.
