Delicious. Hadn't see that before.... lovely.

Try this - takes a while to develop - but I think you and I have similar tastes.

Thanks for posting - love it
I saw Zawinul's band live in London many years ago
I just love his slow build up of a melody through a piece - it's like a craftman carving a sculpture

Love it and especially your description Stewart.

Have seen Forplay live and Nathan East's bass playing is amazing: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TJnQTRvcKNc

I have relatively eclectic musical taste; however, a few that might be of interest, especially if you can find them on NetFlix/etc, would be:-

Sigur Ros's film Heima

Half love letter to Iceland and half an introduction to the whimsical, sometimes challenging but always interesting music that is created by Sigur Ros.

Here is a brief intro (interestingly, I don't believe the song used in the trailer is the best intro to their music):

Another is Rocco Deluca, who I've had the pleasure of seeing live in a tiny, nasty, fle-pit dive. Probably the best gig I've ever seen and not only is he a talent but a very engaging performer.

This doesn't scratch the surface but I'll offer it up as an example:-

His album 'I trust you to kill me' is excellent and the documentary of the same name is interesting in that it shows the uphill battle of someone trying to break into the industry and being overshadowed by managers and the money money men.

I believe he's been mentioned already but I've been revisiting Robert Johnson's tracks since they've been remastered (again!)

Yes, Sigur Ros is definitely something of an acquired taste - but I was instantly into Rocco DeLuca; a remarkable talent. Why is it these guys seem to have more notes on their guitar than I do, and their guitars also seem to be easier to play than mine? (sighs, and goes back to day job......)

While you're acquiring your taste for Sigur Ros, you may want to check out Mari Boine Persen. A modern twist on traditional Saami music.

Some great stuff posted here

If you like a bit of virtuoso Jazz and tom foolery on a Friday night here is Roy Ayres' band at Ronnie Scott's in the 80's

I was in the audience as a teenage Jazz fan during this tour on another night and was treated to this spectacle

It lives long in the memory

Lucky man.... great clip.

I saw Mike Manieri a few times at Ronnie Scotts - here is with Peter Erskine on drums (one of my favourite drummers).
